BTP was founded in 1994 by David Beaumont and has become a leading niche compliance consultancy within the estate agency & lettings profession. The company growth and success has been based on David’s desire to ensure his legal compliance expertise is provided to clients with a practical, no-nonsense approach.  The services offered to clients have developed over the years and now we go well beyond the simple provision of training & legal guidance. We work closely with our clients to improve compliance & performance in all manner of ways.

Unique Position

David worked for many years within the Trading Standards Service before setting up Compliance Matters. Gillian was a very successful branch manager, later becoming the Head of Training for Reeds Rains & then LSL. This experience and expertise means we have a unique perspective on compliance & performance problems. We see things not only from your perspective, but also your clients, customers and enforcement officers perspective. This can be invaluable.

We pride ourselves in our forward-looking and proactive approach to the services we provide. Our Trading Standards Health Checks were just that when first introduced in 1999. Today, our online compliance and competency training system for agents follows suit. It is both innovative and unique in many ways, ideally suited to every type & size of agency.
