FREE MONEY LAUNDERING 2017 UPDATE SESSIONS

Significant changes to estate agents obligations were imposed by the new Money Laundering Regulations in June this year.  The big focus has been on the need to confirm the ID of buyers as well as sellers; however, the legislation also requires agents to make a number of other changes.

HMRC also published guidance on how they expect agents to comply, but this guidance has come in for some significant criticism.

Compliance-Matters in conjunction with Landmark are providing a series of joint seminars to discuss the changes to the Money Laundering Regulations implemented in June 2017.

These morning sessions will be presented by David Beaumont the country’s leading expert in estate agency compliance to money laundering obligations.  He will look at each one of the obligations old and new on his 20-point list to enable agents to fully understand the obligations and HMRC requirements.

You will also get a common-sense perspective on handling compliance and David will answer your questions on compliance and provide some practical tips on ways to avoid breaches and the dreaded penalties that can follow.
